I qualified as a Child Psychotherapist in the UK, where I had internships in primary schools and with Barnardos. In Aotearoa New Zealand I was at Family Works for 6 years. I currently work for a public sector infant, child and adolescent mental health service and for ACC providing therapy for children under sensitive claims.

I apply a range of theoretical approaches and methods in my practice, including Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and CBT.
​
I have a certificate in counselling and several years experience of working with parents and caregivers both in the capacity as a therapist, an Incredible Years Programme facilitator and as a family support worker.

My work is about providing a safe space for children and young people to express their thoughts and feelings.
Important aspects of my work include supporting parents/caregivers and strengthening family relationships.

Sand tray is a safe place to express painful thoughts and feelings and make sense of things that are confusing in a child's life.
Play and creative activities help children and young people explore difficult thoughts and feelings.
